Join the SCASA Community

Connect with fellow constellation facilitators and trainers, share knowledge and contribute to ethical constellation practice in Southern Africa.

A community of colleagues, shared learning and peer support.

Why membership and listing matter

Joining SCASA means becoming part of a professional community of constellation facilitators committed to upholding standards for constellations work in Southern Africa.

Through its membership and listing application process, SCASA reviews applicants’ training, professional background and experience. While this process provides a measure of confidence in the information and qualifications presented, SCASA does not accredit facilitators or guarantee their professional competence.

This process helps uphold standards and supports the integrity of the constellations field, its practitioners and the wider community.

Membership and public listing are separate. You may become a SCASA member without choosing to be listed in the public facilitator directory. Public listing is subject to eligibility, review and your consent.

Facilitator requirements

Published facilitator requirements:

  • Foundational training: at least 6 days / 36 hours.
  • Advanced training: 10–14 days / 60–84 hours.
  • Workshops with a senior facilitator: 10 days / 60 hours.
  • Peer practice: 25 hours; supervision: six one-hour sessions.
  • Commitment to the Ethical Code and continued professional practice.

Provide your signed training certificate. The wizard guides you through the evidence for your pathway.

Trainer requirements

Trainer applications also require:

  • The facilitator requirements and a qualification in your specialisation.
  • Evidence of 20 days / 160 hours of constellation training workshops with a SCASA trainer or a reviewed equivalent, including 6–10 foundational days, 25 hours of peer practice and six one-hour supervision sessions.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body or similar organisation.
  • At least five years facilitating constellations.
  • At least 50 workshop days facilitating constellations.
  • At least 15 days / 120 hours facilitating training modules. This is separate from the five years facilitating constellations.
  • Three nomination letters from SCASA-listed facilitators or recognised trainers and facilitators in the wider constellations community.
  • Ongoing supervision or inter-vision.

Verified evidence from an approved facilitator application can be reused. The wizard identifies any missing certificate, POE or supervision evidence. Provide supporting qualifications, evidence of facilitating training and three nomination letters.

Portfolio of Evidence pathway

If your trainer is not SCASA-listed, use the Portfolio of Evidence (POE) pathway. Provide training, supervision and supporting evidence with the portfolio spreadsheet. Additional assessment fees may apply. SCASA reviews each submission.

Upload a supervisor letter or accepted equivalent that identifies the supervisor, confirms six supervision sessions of one hour each, and bears the supervisor's signature or approved equivalent verification. SCASA's reviewer assesses the evidence; an upload alone does not establish eligibility.

Membership, facilitator or trainer recognition, and public directory listing are reviewed separately. Membership does not automatically confer recognition or listing. SCASA does not certify professional competence; listed facilitators and trainers remain responsible for their independent practice.
